Our Special Education Class program for special needs children’s in Qatar aged 1.5 & above, offers a combination of one-on-one therapies and trainings needs in academics, arts and crafts, life skills and social skills and help Special students with disabilities in Learning .
We send out daily reports to parents detailing the lessons conducted, the methods used, and the student’s performance. Such reports would help parents/caregivers to follow the program at home as well.
We run special education class program in the following categories:
- Early-Intervention
- Intermediate
- Advanced
- Pre-Vocational
Each child enrolled in our special education class program has IEP (Individual Education Plan) because “one size fits all” approach doesn’t work as the education plan has to be tailored to meet the needs of individual children.
- Each student gets one-on-one therapies (Occupational / Sensory Integration, Speech, and Behavioral Therapies).
- Each student gets lessons in academics, arts, crafts, life skills (like cleaning, dusting, bed making, folding clothes, cupboard arranging, light cooking, shopping), vocational skills (like making paper bags and envelopes, typing, photocopying).
- Each student is engaged in controlled group activities to promote social skills.
Parents of each student get a regular detailed report, the type and method of trainings conducted to the child so that they can build on the center’s program at home as well.*
